Young Storytellers is a collaboration with Launch Point academy and Juvenis Festival. The Juvenis Festival is Kingston's Youth Art Festival that engages youth from the ages of 8 to 30. It generates opportunities for local artists to showcase their work, as well as educational programming that will allow them to further develop their skills and art.

Young Storytellers is a free performance opportunity for children from the ages of 8-13. This year we will be preforming a play called "What Happened After Once Upon A Time" by Alexi Alfieri with special arrangement by Produced by special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service, Inc., Denver, Colorado. It will be performed at the Kingston Frontenac Library Central Branch on May 2. The play is about a substitute storyteller who is called in on short notice to present stories from a stack of fairy tale books.  But just as each tale begins its “once upon a time,” the main characters show up to interrupt and correct the newbie narrator’s telling of their story.  The chaos continues until the frustrated narrator finally breaks down. It’s up to the characters to comfort the narrator and explain what really happened after “once upon a time.”
