Introducing “Broadway Bound”!

Broadway Bound is Launchpoint Academy’s newest program! Targeted to our students who show drive, passion, and a gift for the arts, Broadway Bound is a program designed to help set up your child for a successful Musical Theatre career!

Broadway Bound is for students in Stages 2-5. Invitation letters to join this program will be sent to students in late April - Early May.

  • Prep Stage/ Stage 1

    Age: 3 (prep stage), 4-5 (stage 1)

    Experence level: None

    Classes: Sing and Dance-A-Long

    Sing-and-dance-along classes for ages 3-5 are vibrant and interactive sessions designed to introduce young children to the joy of performing arts. Through playful activities, children explore rhythm, movement, and music, enhancing their coordination and creativity. These classes feature a mix of sing-along songs and simple dance routines, encouraging children to express themselves through movement and song. With a focus on imagination and fun, these classes create a nurturing environment where children can build confidence and social skills. Led by experienced instructors, these sessions are tailored to the developmental needs of young children, providing a delightful introduction to the world of performing arts.

  • Stage 1.5

    Minimum Age: 6

    Experience Level: None

    Classes: Musical Theatre Foundations

    Stage 1.5: Musical Theatre Foundations is a vibrant introduction to the world of musical theatre, specially crafted for 6-8-year-olds with no prior experience. This class focuses on laying the groundwork for future theatrical endeavors, covering the basics of theatre, singing, dancing, and even music theory. Through interactive exercises and games, children will build their confidence and skills, preparing them for more advanced classes like Stage 2. Led by experienced instructors, this class offers a nurturing environment where children can explore their creativity and develop a passion for the arts. Join us for an exciting journey into the magic of musical theatre, where every child can shine!

  • Stage 2

    Minimum Age: 7

    Experience Level: has completed 1 year of Stage 2: Musical Theatre or equivalent

    Classes: Vocals, Theatre, Beginner Dance

    These programs are tailored for children aged 7 and older with a minimum of one year of experience in their respective disciplines. They aim to enhance foundational skills and offer more comprehensive training and creative exploration. In vocals, the focus is on improving singing techniques, including breath control, pitch, and tone quality. Theatre classes expand on basic acting skills, emphasizing character development, scene work, and storytelling. Beginner dance introduces various styles, emphasizing coordination, musicality, and performance quality. The overall goal is to provide a supportive environment where young artists can enhance their skills and deepen their passion for the performing arts.

  • Stage 3

    Minimum Age: 9

    Experience Level: has completed 1 year of Stage 2: Musical Theatre or equivalent

    Classes: Vocals, Theatre, Beginner Dance

    These programs are designed for children aged 9 and older with at least one year of experience in their respective disciplines. They aim to enhance foundational skills and offer more comprehensive training and creative exploration. The focus is on advancing skills in vocals, acting, and dance. In vocals, students refine techniques like breath control, pitch, and tone quality. Theatre classes emphasize character development, scene work, and storytelling for more nuanced performances. Dance classes introduce more complex styles and choreography, refining coordination, musicality, and performance quality. The overall goal is to provide a supportive environment where young artists can enhance their skills and deepen their passion for the performing arts.

  • Stage 4

    Minimum Age: 11

    Experience Level: has completed 1 year of Stage 3: Musical Theatre or equivalent

    Classes: Vocals, Theatre, Beginner Dance, Intermediate Dance, Improv

    These programs are designed for children aged 11 and older with at least one year of experience in their respective disciplines. They aim to enhance foundational skills and offer more comprehensive training and creative exploration. The focus is on advancing skills in vocals, dance, theatre, and improvisation. In vocals, students refine techniques like breath control, pitch, and tone quality. Dance classes introduce more complex styles and choreography, refining coordination, musicality, and performance quality. Theatre classes emphasize character development, scene work, and storytelling for more nuanced performances. Improvisation classes foster quick thinking, creativity, and ensemble skills. The overall goal is to provide a supportive environment where young artists can enhance their skills and deepen their passion for the performing arts.

  • Stage 5

    Minimum Age: 14

    Experience Level: has completed 1 year of Stage 4: Musical Theatre or equivalent

    Classes: Vocals, Theatre, Beginner Dance, Intermediate Dance, Improv, Technical Theatre

    Stage 5 classes are tailored for students aged 14 and older, focusing on honing advanced skills in a variety of performing arts disciplines. In vocals, students refine their technique, emphasizing advanced concepts such as vocal control, interpretation, and performance presence. Beginner and intermediate dance classes introduce complex choreography and styles, emphasizing technical precision, musicality, and expression. Theatre classes focus on advanced acting techniques, character development, and ensemble work, preparing students for sophisticated theatrical performances. Improvisation classes cultivate quick thinking, creativity, and teamwork, enhancing students' ability to think on their feet and collaborate effectively. Technical theatre classes provide hands-on experience in various aspects of production, including set design, lighting, and sound, preparing students for behind-the-scenes roles in the performing arts. The overall goal of Stage 5 is to provide a challenging yet supportive environment where students can refine their skills, deepen their understanding of their craft, and prepare for future pursuits in the performing arts, whether in the professional world or in post-secondary education.
